About Us
After discovering a lack of places to buy cloth diapers in the Denver area, Amy Mann founded Denver Diaper Co. in October of 2007. A year and a half (and many customer visits to her dining room) later, she decided to open a storefront location to better serve the community.
Enter Beth Shaughnessy, Amy's new partner, and The Giggling Green Bean, Inc. was born!
It is their mission to provide new and expecting parents with the best products for their babies and our planet. They love stocking the store with eco-friendly, local if at all possible, products to make parent's lives easier!
A Little About Amy
What did Amy want to be when she grew up? She'll let you know when she figures it out! She's done a little bit of everything in search of the answer. From managing a restaurant to managing a busy surgeon's office. Originally from Pennsylvania, where snow "lays" on the ground and asphalt is called "macadam" after its creator, Amy came to Colorado in 1998. While here, she met and married Scott, a local A-West/CU grad. When she married Scott, she also became mom to Tyler, now 11 years old. In June of 2007, they added to their family with the birth of daughter Morgan Josephine. MoJo for short. She's very happy to help guide parents through the cloth diaper world. She also loves quotes, especially ones that make you go, "Ah ha!" That's why you'll find a Quote of the Day at the top of every page on the website!
A Little About Beth
Beth has also done a little bit of everything. She's worked at many restaurants and bars in Chicago, an ad agency in Chicago and even the Cook County of Chicago. She moved to Denver in 2001, started working for a local restaurant group and met and married her wonderful husband Dave (also known as the muscle to get all the store fixtures in). She has a daughter Riley and is expecting another child soon. She wanted to cloth diaper her first child and looked online, quickly becoming overwhelmed with all the choices. She too noticed there was no place in the Denver area where you could go and look at, feel and compare the cloth diapering options. After meeting with Amy, they decided to form The Giggling Green Bean. She is very excited to make sure the store is helping local moms and dads make cloth diapering decisions and is a go-to place for eco-friendly products for you and your baby!
To all of you, from all of us at The Giggling Green Bean, Inc. - Thank you and Happy Diapering!
